New Interim Announced

The Pastor Search Team is excited to announce that Dan Darling will be our next Interim Pastor.


Daniel Darling is the Vice President for Communications for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention (ERLC). Dan is the author of several books, including Teen People of the BibleCrash CourseiFaithRealActivist Faith, and his latest, The Original JesusHe is a contributing editor to Christianity Today’s CT Pastors, a columnist for Homelife, and a regular contributor to In Touch Magazine. He also writes regularly for several leading evangelical publications, including Relevant Magazine, The Gospel Coalition, For the Church, and others. Dan’s op-eds have appeared in The Washington Post,’s Belief Blog, Faithstreet, Washington Times, Time, Huffington Post and other newspapers and opinion sites. 

Publisher’s Weekly called his writing style “substantive and punchy.”

Dan speaks and preaches around the country and is regularly interviewed on television and radio. He is the host of a weekly podcast, The Way Home.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry from Dayspring Bible College and has studied at  Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Angela have four children and reside in the Nashville area. They attend Green Hill Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, where Dan serves as Pastor of Teaching and Discipleship.

The Pastor Search Team would like each member to get involved by filling out a church survey.  Click here to fill out online, or pick up a paper copy at the Information Desk.  All surveys must be submitted by Sunday, April 23rd.

Pastor Search Team

On Sunday, March 5, 2017, a vote by paper ballot was administered during each worship service. The following individuals were voted in as our Pastor Search Team: Sandy Bumbalough, Tony Jones, Terry Kemp Jr. (Chairman), Lane Martin and Wiley Taylor. Sid Cripps is an alternate.

Please continue to be in prayer for the men and women of our search team, as they begin the process of the search for our next pastor.
